Emma Stone stepped out at the 2022 Met Gala last night looking gorgeous in a short Louis Vuitton dress with a feathered skirt, and turns out this look has a super-sentimental backstory. As in, this dress is literally what she wore on her wedding day.
Apparently, Emma wore this exact look to her wedding after-party when she married Dave McCary in September 2020. Truly, name a more romantic upcycling moment.
Emma and Dave have been together since at least June 2017, when they were spotted leaving the premiere of his film Brigsby Bear, which was his directorial debut. By December of that year, Us Weekly had a source giving intel about their vibes at a roller-skating party: “They stood right next to the stage in their skates for all of Haim’s set, dancing together and singing along. At one point, they slow-danced to a somewhat upbeat song. He initiated it and she excitedly followed. They held hands [with] his other hand around her waist and hers around his shoulders.”
And by the next year (December 2019, to be exact!), the super-private couple were engaged, and then they welcomed their first child together in March 2021.
